Zurich to provide earthquake relief for Haiti

Zurich Financial Services Group announced today that it has instituted a global internal program to facilitate contributions to the victims of the disastrous earthquake in Haiti. The Z Zurich Foundation (Foundation) will match up to CHF 250,000 in charitable contributions made by Zurich employees globally to recognized charitable organizations of their choice working towards the Haiti relief and reconstruction effort. Aviva France organises 24-hour relay race to support 2009 Telethon

Aviva, a major player in life insurance and long-term savings, asset management and non-life insurance, invites its employees and neighbours to take part in a 24-hour relay race to raise money for the AFM (French Muscular Dystrophy Association). LV= sponsors rugby’s Anglo-Welsh tournament

Insurance, investments and pensions group LV= is the new title sponsor of the LV= Cup, rugby’s Anglo-Welsh tournament. The competition is jointly managed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Lloyd’s Charities Trust donates £50,000 to Whitechapel Mission

Lloyd’s Charities Trust is to donate this year’s Special Award of £50,000 to Whitechapel Mission Centre. The award will enable the centre to open overnight during the winter period and expand its life skills service. They will be able to employ another life skills support worker to help centre users with skills for the future such as cooking, budgeting and job hunting. Lloyds opens its primary school in China

Lloyd’s, the world’s leading specialist insurance market, announced today the official opening of its primary school in the Yunnan province of China. The school, which was officially opened on Friday, 30 October, will provide educational facilities for 280 children across eight classes.
