Specialty insurance company HCC International has confirmed it will take up headline sponsorship of the SailEAST 2010 race season. HCC is a provider of niche commercial insurance with offices in the UK, Ireland and Spain. Insurance, investments and pensions group LV= is the new title sponsor of the LV= Cup, rugby’s Anglo-Welsh tournament. The competition is jointly managed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Lloyd’s Charities Trust is to donate this year’s Special Award of £50,000 to Whitechapel Mission Centre. The award will enable the centre to open overnight during the winter period and expand its life skills service. They will be able to employ another life skills support worker to help centre users with skills for the future such as cooking, budgeting and job hunting. Lloyd’s, the world’s leading specialist insurance market, announced today the official opening of its primary school in the Yunnan province of China. The school, which was officially opened on Friday, 30 October, will provide educational facilities for 280 children across eight classes.
